Indigenous Communities

Colombia is still the home of several indigenous communities. These communities have their

own way of life and cultural manifestations. While some communities live close to cities like the

Guambian community in Cauca, just an hour away from Popayan, others are far harder to reach.

For example the Kogi community that lives near the lost city in the Caribbean close to Santa Marta. It

will take a 5 day hike to reach them. Several other communities are located all over the country. In

the northern department of Guijara you can find the Wayuu and in the Amazon are also native tribes that can be visited.
